The last 3 weeks....

KAH - Cincinnati is approaching 1 million meals. With all of your help, since last April, we have now packed 979,510 meals!

"The factory" has been pushed to it's limits on a couple of occasions over the last three weeks with packing sessions of 70-80 people. We are very thankful for everyone's selfless attitude to feed these hungry children. We still are in need of a dedicated location that we can use for our packing sessions. With a dedicated location, we will be able to host more regular and bigger packing sessions. Along with a location, we are looking for more people who would be willing to serve as a shift leader. The only requirements are that you have visited our packing sessions a couple of times and that you have a heart to serve. We don't take any of our volunteer packers or shift leaders for granted and appreciate you all! Thank you so much.

More food has been shipped out! For the first time, on Feb 23, we were able to send 216 meals to starving children in El Salvador. We hope to send even more soon.

Saturday Feb 7

What a great group at the "Factory" on last Saturday. Many were there including Taft Elementary School.

We produced almost 4 pallets and have now produced a total of 911,254 meals since we started last July. At this rate we should reach 1 million meals near the end of the month.

It was a big week with food leaving the factory... including the Ethiopia shipment as well as a small shipment going with a team who are leaving to work at the NWHCM on Friday.

Papa John's Update

Thank you to everyone for your support with our Kids Against Hunger/Papa John's promotion!

The results are in and we are happy to announce that we helped bring in $1,039 worth of business for Papa John's. Within the next couple of days Papa John's will be sending a check to KAH for $207.88!! Hopefully everyone enjoyed their pizza :-)

At 25¢ per serving, just by eating pizza, you have helped fund approx 831 meals! With this success, we have been invited by Papa John's to do this again...so stayed tuned, we'll probably wait a couple months and try it again. Thanks again!

We have lift off!

The plane carrying medical supplies, a newborn incubator and 10 tons of KAH food, left Dayton, OH at 3:30 PM EST today! The plane is scheduled to land in Addis Ababa on Friday.

We hope that we will be able to make this flight a few times this year. Thank you for everyone's support.

For more information on this airlift and the crisis in Ethiopia, please visit here or visit here to see an update on our partnering organization that will be receiving the food in Ethiopia.

Pizza!

KAH Cincinnati is having a fundraiser that you can help out with just by eating!

There is no extra cost to you.....as a matter of fact, you'll get an extra discount on your order and part of the cost will be donated to the ministry. Please check out the flyer below and consider eating pizza between now and Wednesday.

Obviously, not every Cincinnati / Northern KY area store is included in this event. But, with this being our first time doing this, if we get a good enough turn out, we might get access to more stores next time!

If you don't live in the delivery area of the 16 participating stores you can still help! Assuming you work (or for whatever reason you are in the area of a participating store) call and make a carry out order and take it home.

For example: I live in Fairfield and the Fairfield location is not participating, but I work in West Chester. Before leaving the office at the end of the day, I'll call the West Chester location (which is one of our 16 participating stores) and place a carry out order (I'll make sure to mention Kids Against Hunger when I place the order). I'll pick up the carry out order (from the West Chester location) and take it home to eat.

It's very important to mention Kids Against Hunger when you order, or we will not get a donation.

Thank you very much!
